June will go down as a month of change for the Mets, who moved on from manager Carlos Mendoza as the season slipped out of reach. The Mets have shown a bit more focus under interim Andy Green but the results have yet to follow, meaning barring a dramatic turnaround they will be deadline sellers as a result of a miserable first half.
There wasn't much to write home about for the Mets in June in the pitching department other than Luke Weaver, who went the entire month without allowing an earned run. Weaver, in fact, hasn't been scored upon since the end of April and has lowered his ERA to 2.00 on the year. Huascar Brazoban (1-1, 2.13 ERA in 12.2 innings pitched) and A.J. Minter (1-1, 0.00 ERA in 10.2 innings pitched) also pitched well to create some intriguing decisions for the Mets at the deadline.
The headliners in June, once again, were offensive players. Juan Soto tried to follow up his May Met of the Month performance with another strong month, batting .286 with four home runs and 10 RBI, while rookie A.J. Ewing had a breakthrough month by hitting .300 with three home runs, 13 RBI and an .856 OPS in 90 at bats. Despite a tight competition, the June Met of the Month honors are going to infielder Bo Bichette.

The Mets finally got the Bichette they were hoping for in June as he went on a massive heater, batting .321 with five home runs, 18 RBI and an .883 OPS in 109 at bats. Bichette raised his batting average by 32 points and his OPS by 95 in the span of the month, putting him much closer to his career norms and offering hope that he can be a solid player in Flushing beyond this season.
