The Korner Arcade: Mets Wheel of Fortune — How to Play

Welcome to The Korner Arcade — the daily games room of Kiner's Korner. Six games, Monday through Saturday — a different game every day, with Sundays off. Play the day's game, paste your result in the group's daily thread, and climb the standings — every night we crown a Best of the Day (5 points for the winner, 3 for second, 1 for third).

Fridays we close the Arcade week with Mets Wheel of Fortune — every puzzle is a Mets name, a Mets place, or a famous Mets phrase.

HOW TO PLAY

1. Your bank starts at $500. Call a consonant: every time it appears in the puzzle, you bank $100 for each letter.

2. Vowels cost you — $250 flat to buy one, just like the show. A wrong letter costs $150 and a strike. Eight strikes and you're wiped out.

3. Solve the puzzle whenever you're ready — a correct solve adds a $500 bonus. Run the board letter by letter and you win that way too, just without the bonus.

4. Hit Copy My Result at the end and paste it in the day's thread in The Korner Arcade group. That paste is your leaderboard entry.

Best of the Day: the biggest final bank takes the crown. Went home empty? It logs as 0 — the wheel giveth, and the wheel taketh away.
